THM Racing is completing all the final preparations for rounds 7 & 8 of the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup next weekend on the 30th and 31st May.
Preparation for the Silverstone rounds of the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup have been under-way for a while now, with the THM Racing team focused on picking up where they left off in 2014, after their win at Donington Park at the 2014 Championship finale.
Although the Watford based race team did not compete at the opening rounds of the championship, as they were competing elsewhere, the focus is now totally on Silverstone.
With a new vehicle livery for 2015, detailed testing and a number of developments, the THMR Volkswagen Golf GTi’s performance and looks are impressive.
THM Racing Director Steve Parkinson said, “We are all really looking forward to getting back on track with the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup and Silverstone is a great track. Rob has always gone extremely well there, so we are hoping we will be right up with the front-runners. The cars looked good in testing and Rob’s result at the Killarney Rally was excellent, so he is certainly on form! The whole team can’t wait to get out there and we are looking forward to meeting our guests on race day.”
THM Racing driver Robert Barrable commented, “The Silverstone circuit is great. I’ve been there many times in single seaters, as well as saloons and can’t wait. It’s been a while since Donington last September, but I’ve been busy on the rallies, with a good 2nd place at Killarney, despite losing a number of gears on the final stages. The Golf looks great and I am certainly looking to be right on it from the start of the weekend.”
Technical Director at THM Racing, Trevor Humphrey said, “The car performed well in its last race at Donington and since we have completed a number of developments to it, along with very positive testing, but the real test is on track at Silverstone. It’s all looking good so far and we are looking forward to getting there now.”
THM Racing continue their ever-increasing appeal off the track, with some additional new Partners for 2015, as well as some local community events where they will be on show during June. These events include school displays and graphic design competitions with up-and-coming student designers. All the latest news and event details can be found at www.thmracing.co.uk
