Robert Barrable took victory in the final race of the season, after a chaotic season finale in Donington.
After a fantastic start by Robert storming through to third there was drama from first to last in the finale, with the race having to be halted before the leaders had completed their second lap by a multi-car accident at the Goddards hairpin which left the Scirocco’s of David Fairbrother and Andy Wilmot badly damaged and stranded partly on the track
The race was restarted in the pre-race grid positions, Robert having to do it all over again for a second time. Robert entered the first corner this time in fifth and Robert certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons!
The championship contenders didn’t want or expect THMR and Robert Barrable to blow apart possible championship hopes, but that was exactly what happened.
The outcome of the championship hung in the balance all the way to the final corner of the race as KPM Racing driver Lucas Orrock battled with the cars of Irish rally star Robert Barrable and David Sutton.
Robert applied the pressure pushing the top five all the way, steadily taking positions and inching closer to the top three, 5th, 4th and 3rd - an upset was on the cards. Robert continued to push Orrock and Sutton until the inevitable mistake was made by the pressurised leading two drivers. Orrock and Sutton, the two leading drivers out-braked themselves on the inside then ran wide tangling with each other and Robert took the racing line for the cutback taking a tighter inside line out of the corner, rubbing the back of Orrock’s car as he came across the front of the THMR Golf. Robert needed no more invitations and powered forward, taking the opportunity and took the chequered flag..
Robert took the top step of the podium to the sheer delight of the whole team. The delight was short lived as immediately protests and a stewards enquiry were launched, initially handing Robert and THM Racing a penalty, dropping the team to second position, after Sutton also received a penalty.
The THMR team absolutely rallied behind Robert and appealed the result, immediately. The stewards, after reviewing all the video footage and evidence returned the victory to Robert and THM Racing.
Rob and THM Racing comes home victorious in the final race of the 2014 season. An absolutely magnificent drive from no: 98 brings THM Racing their first podium result of the season and what a result it was.
Steve Parkinson THMR Racing Director " We are over the moon, what a result, what a race.. Congratulations to Rob and the whole team for a well-deserved win"

Race 1 Summary Robert Barrable drives a superb Race 1 for THM Racing, finishing 7th. Barrable had as great start off the line, snatching places as he made is way through the field. Close quarter racing through out the early laps catapulted the THM Racing Golf up to 11th position.
Robert inched closer to the leading pack, steadily reeling in the competition, resulting in an unwinding story of a close battle with Di Resta, Barrable and Di Resta driving for 6th and 7th place. Taking further positions would have meant Robert putting the cat amongst the pigeons of the championship contenders. A feat he will surely accomplish in Race 2, which starts with a reverse grid. The THMR Golf showed plenty of power, speed and torque further progressing the cars performance since Chris Knox’s Brands Hatch turnaround result. The THMR Team cheered and roared home Robert as he entered the pit lane, a jubilant Rob signaled his race end with a huge smile and thumbs up to his fellow team mates.
