2014 FIA World Rally Championship star Robert Barrable will join THM Racing at the final rounds of the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup at Donington Park

THM Racing are delighted to have secured WRC Rally Star Robert Barrable in the hot seat. Robert currently driving in the 2014 WRC Championship will pilot THM Racing’s Golf GTi at Donington Park on September 13/14th at the last rounds of the 2014 Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup Championship
Fresh from completing the FIA European Rally Championship with the Turnocks World Rally Team in Barum Czech Rally Zlín, Robert will aim to take the bull by the horns and transfer his blistering pace to the Donington Park Circuit, with THMR, building upon the superb recent Brands Hatch result.
“Securing Robert for Donington is a huge boost for us” commented Steve Parkinson, THMR Racing Director. “His pedigree speaks for itself and in driving terms, we couldn’t have asked for more. Robert’s determination, skill and technical knowledge will be welcomed by the team. We had an incredible weekend at Brands and thanks to Chris Knox and the team for bringing home an excellent result. Robert will help us build upon that, the team are tremendously excited at the news”.
“I’m absolutely delighted to have taken the seat for THM Racing at Donington Park, they are a fantastic outfit” Robert continues “Sure I’ll be jumping in the hot seat for qualifying on Saturday, it's going to be totally different but not alien to me to be back on the track as I did a formula ford race in May, race tracks are a lot different from road rallying as the grip level is more consistent and you can focus on the corners a lot more as they don't change from lap to lap, so I’m looking forward to it”.
“The Volkswagen Racing Cup is notoriously competitive and has a huge field, its real head to head racing, congested and not for the faint hearted, it’s going to be very , very exciting to be in the thick of it all. The whole team are fully behind me and I’m aiming to bring us all home a result”.
